Welcome to the start for lacrosse season 2022-2023, let's hope that we see lots of people picking up a whistle and having a great time.

Below you will find all the information you need for this season's Level 2 Umpiring Course.

To get your Level 2 Umpiring Award you need to do all 3 things:

  1. Sit and pass the online theory test  before you come to the Level 2 Course and
  2. Attend the Level 2 Course and
  3. Practise, then arrange a testing date

How long this takes is up to the individual - more info re this when you are at the course.

ONLINE THEORY TEST

The online test is available by following this link or QR Code

This course and online test  will cover the 2020-2022 rules book as the 2022-2024 rules book is not yet available and Lacrosse Scotland league games will be played to the 2020-2022 WL rule book.

Please note that passing the online test is a pre-requisite for attending the Level 2 course – it is an open book course and you can sit it more than once, so no need to worry about it.

The test can and should be used as a refresher by anyone and everyone - it is free!

LEVEL 2 COURSE

Date: Sunday 9th October 2022

Registration: 9:15am

Time: 9:30am – 4pm (we will start sharp, so please do not be late)

Venue: St George's School, Garscube Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 6BG

Pre-requisite: you must have sat and passed the online theory test

Please bring footwear to play / umpire in as well as a stick, whistle & mouthguard. It may sound daft but please do not forget to bring a whistle, I have not yet run a course where everyone remembered to bring a whistle - I'd love you to be the first group to break the mould :)

We will not be playing competitively, but in order to umpire some situations it helps if people have sticks. If you do not have a stick please just "bring yourself".

If you have any questions please contact us using the Contact Form on the website - select Officiating - Umpiring (Women's lacrosse).
